Amazon's potential TV and Movie service

It appears as if Amazon is attempting to enter the online TV and Movie service field.  Word from the Wall Street Journal has Amazon reaching out to the major media companies to gauge interest and to show proposals.

If Amazon enters this field the same way that they have entered most markets they are in (by being the cheapest to corner the market) then this could get really exciting and could potentially entice other online TV and Move providers (Netflix, Hulu, etc.) to drop their prices as well.

Amazon is said to be trying to launch this service before the holiday season this year.
