TechCrunch earlier today reported that Facebook is secretly working on a "Facebook Phone" which would integrate user contact lists and other social-networking functions onto a phone. Which Facebook can only do if they have control over the phones OS.
Facebook released a statement almost immediately that they aren't working on a Facebook Phone and the reports from TechCrunch are inaccurate. Now I would usually let this pass and move on but the fact that on a Sunday, Facebook released a statement within a couple of hours denouncing the TechCrunch article.
Pretty interesting stuff, I hope Facebook isn't working on a phone, it smells like Microsoft and their KIN, which we all know that experiment lasted all of 2 months.
