A few days ago we posted a picture of what we thought was the Storm 3 but recent revelations have shown that the picture shown was either faked or that what we saw was a prototype Blackberry that we will see sometime down the road.
Today, Crackberry posted some pictures of what for now is being called the Blackberry Storm 2 Refresh. The outside hardware is exactly the same but the insides will see some nice upgrades that were necessary to upgrade the Storm 2 to Blackberry 6 operating system. Those upgrades will include 512MB of RAM, a 5MP camera and fully BlackBerry 6 capable. And of course, a presumed 624mHz processor that RIM is so fond of.
My theory is, is that the Storm 3 was running into issues and the launch date was pushed back to 2011. RIM then decided that it would be in there best interest to put the Storm 3 back into testing to revamp the Storm 2 so that it would be compatable to run Blackberry's 6 operation system.
