So I just read the press release from Apple announcing that iOS 4.2 is now available to Developers for the iPhone, iPod and iPad. A large part of the press release is dedicated to describing the new print feature call AirPrint.
"AirPrint automatically finds printers on local networks and can print text, photos and graphics to them wirelessly over Wi-Fi without the need to install drivers or download software. HP's existing and upcoming ePrint enabled printers will be the first to support printing direct from iOS devices."
The press release states that iOS 4.2 will become available free of charge sometime in November. So keep your fingers crossed and hope all goes well.
