Verizon and RIM Announce the New Blackberry Curve 3G

Starting September 16th Verizon will begin selling the Blackberry Curve 3G through its Business Channel and will become available online and through retail in the coming weeks.  The Blackberry Curve 3G will be priced nicely at $30 after a mail in rebate of $100 after a 2 year contract and minimum $30 a month data package.  It will come in 2 colors, Charcoal and Fuchsia Red.

It will come with Blackberry's 5.0 operating system but will be compatible to upgrade to Blackberry 6.0 when it becomes available.  It will also come with Wi-Fi capabilities, expandable memory, and a stylish new design.

Also, I just got word that the Blackberry Curve 3G will have EVDO Rev. A unlike its predecessors which could only achieve EVDO Rev. 0.
