October 11 appears to be the day that the world will get its first official announcement from AT&T and Microsoft on Windows Phone 7. The official launch of Windows Phone 7 although is scheduled for November 8. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that AT&T will be showing off WP7 devices from LG, Samsung and HTC. It definitely looks like though that AT&T will be the exclusive provider of Windows Phone 7 for the time being and in return AT&T will be pushing the new OS extra hard for Microsoft.
As we get into next week expect more information to come.
